Bio
Brooke W. Stanton is the Founder and CEO of Contend Projects, an educational nonprofit organization that is dedicated to advancing the biological science of human embryology and science reality about when a human being begins to exist. Brooke’s passion to start Contend Projects was born out of the widespread inaccurate science about when a human life starts that is contributing to uninformed and erroneous positions, decisions, policies, and laws. Ms. Stanton has developed content for and participated in science conferences and briefings, developed K-12 human embryology modules, completed coursework in bioethics, and she has published many articles on current issues related to human embryology.
Brooke also has a strong interest in bioethics, which she has developed over the course of performing extensive research and collaborating with leading human embryologists, other scientists, and medical doctors for many years. Of special note, Brooke has had the privilege of working with and studying under Dr. Dianne N. Irving, a double Doctor of Philosophy (Bioethics, and History of Philosophy) from Georgetown University (dissertation title: Philosophical and Scientific Analysis of the Nature of the Early Human Embryo).
Brooke has an MBA in Finance from the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School and a joint degree in Foreign Affairs and Spanish from the University of Virginia. Brooke currently resides in Arlington, Virginia with her husband and four children.
