Bio

Allyson joined the Catholic Education Foundation of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles (CEF) as the Director of Development in February 2019. Prior to coming on board at CEF, she served as Vice President of Development and Communications at Huntington Medical Research Institutes in Pasadena, a biomedical research institute, and as Senior Director or Director of Gift Planning at Caltech, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Scripps College (Claremont, California).

Allyson is a native of Pasadena, grew up in Southern California and received both her bachelor’s degree and her law degree from the University of Southern California (USC). She is a member of the California State Bar Association and the Los Angeles Council of Charitable Gift Planners, where she served as President during the 2018-2019 term and continues as a member of the Board of Directors in her role as Immediate Past President.

Allyson practiced corporate and regulatory law in the Los Angeles area for several years, in both major law firms and as general counsel of a group of insurance companies, before transitioning eighteen years ago into development with a focus on planned, major and leadership giving. Allyson and her husband Roland, also an attorney, have three adult children and a two-year-old granddaughter, all of whom are most special gifts from God. She loves spending time with her family, music, theater and serving as a member of the RCIA catechist team and as a eucharistic minister in her parish. She has previously served as a volunteer on the Board of Trustees of both Mayfield Junior School of the Holy Child Jesus in Pasadena and the South-Central Los Angeles Ministry Project (SC LAMP), as well as on the Board of Directors of St. Anne’s Maternity Home in Los Angeles. She is currently a member of the Development Board of Nativity Parish School in south Los Angeles.
