Bio

David A. Shaneyfelt is an attorney with more than thirty years’ experience in litigating complex civil matters in state and Federal courts across the country. He is a former partner with the New York-based law firm, Anderson Kill, and a former trial attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. He now practices with the Alvarez Firm in Calabasas and Camarillo, where he represents companies in disputes against major insurance carriers.

He is recognized as a California Super Lawyer, an honor reserved for only 5% of attorneys in Southern California, and he has the highest possible rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the national attorney rating service on ethics and professionalism. He has published more than 70 articles in legal publications and the Catholic press and is a regular speaker for continuing legal education courses and national webinars for lawyers.

He is a graduate of Thomas Aquinas College and Willamette College of Law in Salem, Oregon, where he was senior editor of the law review. He and his wife Cari live in Santa Paula, California, where they are proud parents of seven children and four grandchildren.
