Bio

Former State Representative Jill Norgaard was first elected in 2014 to represent Legislative District 18 in the Arizona House of Representatives, with her district covering areas of Chandler, Phoenix, Guadalupe, Mesa, and Tempe. Her passion for public service is rooted in constitutional principles of free markets, personal responsibility, and limited government.

She has sponsored numerous bills which have garnered widespread bipartisan support, and she has offered commonsense solutions for protecting business from state regulatory overreach, reducing financial red tape for education at the K-12 level, and reforming taxes. Representative Norgaard served as Chair of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Education, Vice-Chair of the Commerce Committee, and a member of both the Education Committee and Appropriations Committee.

Currently a small business owner and having previously worked in the aerospace and defense industry for over 30 years, Norgaard has many years of management, business, and engineering experience. Her small business experience and her time serving as a Vice President of a major company in the Aerospace and Defense sector equipped her with the experience needed to tackle some of the most complex changes to the state of Arizona.

She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Management from the University of North Dakota and subsequently received her Master’s in Business Administration.
