Bio

Mike Molina is a Los Angeles-based government affairs consultant specializing in public relations, crisis management, event planning, business development and strategic planning for clients specifically in the aviation industry. These clients include airlines, airport concessionaires, engineering firms, parking and transportation companies, passenger and airline service groups, advertising and communications firms.

Molina Consulting was created in July, 2011 to offer local and national governmental advocacy and public relations for clients including Delta Air Lines, Goldrich Kest Management, Hudson News Group, Lyft, the Los Angeles Athletic Club, JC Decaux, Parsons Brinckerhoff, Parking Concepts, Inc., Signature Aviation, Guardian Air, Swissport and Starbuck’s Coffee.

From 2008-2011, Mike was Deputy Executive Director, External Affairs, for Los Angeles World Airports (City of Los Angeles). Responsibilities included all LAWA’s external outreach through the following divisions: Government Affairs, Community Relations, Media/Public Relations, Air Service Marketing, Customer Service and Business/Job Resources; while strengthening the relationship between the agency with various business and labor organizations, elected officials, municipalities, community and neighborhood groups, the airlines community and the media.

Previously, from 2001-2008, Mike was Chief of Staff to Councilwoman (now County Supervisor) Janice Hahn of the Los Angeles City Council. He was principal liaison to the Mayor’s office, City Controller, City Attorney and City departments. He developed and implemented strategic goals, in collaboration with the Councilwoman, to improve the quality of life for the constituents of the 15th district and also to further the office’s Citywide platform. He received a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from California State University Dominguez Hills in 1986.
