Tom Espinoza is the President and CEO of Raza Development Fund, Inc. (RDF), the largest Latino Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) in the U.S., with more than $350 million in total assets under management. In 1999, Mr. Espinoza pioneered a faith-based approach to community development, establishing RDF’s Partnership of Hope (POH) and the Hope Fund. Under Mr. Espinoza’s leadership, RDF provides capital to low-income and Latino serving organizations nationwide.
Mr. Espinoza is a prominent architect of Hispanic community and business development policy and programs, with over 45 years of experience that span the breadth of the public, private sector, and nonprofit spectrum. Due to his unwavering commitment to the community; both local and national, Tom was awarded the SRE Secretaria de Relaciones Exteriores (México), Reconocimiento-OHTLI Award, recognizing his distinguished work of serving the Mexican community, in the United States. He received the 2014 Valley Leadership Man of the Year and most recently inducted to the 2015 Valle del Sol Hall of Fame. Mr. Espinoza serves on several national boards.
